"Description: Offered is a bronze statue with of a young child on the back of a burro on a dark base. The child sits naked on the burro without a harness or saddle. Both figures are looking ahead as if at something unknown or interesting in the distance. Standing with its weight shifted slightly forward, the burro displays a sense of confidence while the child clutches its mane and leans into the burro. Artist: Joan Sutton Wooddy grew up in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and attended Shepherd College. Afterwards, she taught art in public schools for 10 years. She specializes in painting and sculpture with a focus on landscapes and animals. Condition: Overall very good condition.
