Brown Turkey Fig  Ficus Carica 'Brown Turkey' is a fast growing multi-stemmed shrub/bush/tree with tasty fruit.  Known for its cold tolerance, in ground it can reach 10-30 feet tall and wide but is easily pruned in Winter to achieve the size and shape you desire.   This plant may also be permanently planted in a container, up-potting when necessary.  Light Requirement: Full Sun Soil Requirement: Well draining, neutral to acidic pH, thrives in soil with high organic matter content Hardy to 10 degrees F, suitable in zones 5-9 Self pollinating, no companions required  Mulch root area for moisture retention and Winter protection  Two fruit crops per year, late Spring/early Summer and late Summer/early Fall Fruit: medium sized, sweet, dark colored to purple
