Various: pre-war - 1890 "Views of Falle River Line" deluxe souvenir book

Fall River Line - A deluxe souvenir book from around 1890 featuring "Views of Fall River Line". Inside are dozens of photos and detailed illustrations showing the line's night boats and their elaborate       interiors, plus views from along their New York to Fall River, Massachusetts route. The grand vessels shown are PURITAN (1889), PILGRIM (1883), PROVIDENCE (1869), and PLYMOUTH (1890).  The Fall River Line was all the rage when founded in 1847. But the company went into decline with the advent of the automobile. It closed in 1937 and the remaining boats sent to the breakers. Good condition with binding wear.
