(Small) Threadfin/Pilchard flies - Greyback

"Lo and behold" the Threadfin/Pilchard flies are here!  These are the long-awaited Threadfin/pilchard patterns, designed mainly for inshore big game fishing. These babies will Maintain a realistic profile matching a variety of whitebait like pilchards, threadfin, Menhaden, Shad, sandy keys, etc. They are tied with plenty of flash and durable tooth-resistant UV fibers to stand out from the rest and get BIT! The articulated tail section brings plenty of action and finesse on short strips and pauses, on straight retrieves the tails will swish side to side mimicking a swimming/fleeing baitfish. These patterns are also designed to sink slowly, and suspend, and can be worked to mimic an injured baitfish as well.  The Threadfin/pilchard patterns are great for targeting snook, tarpon, seatrout, jack crevalle, large redfish, and cobias.
