Lunar phase calendar, silk-screened on 100% silk charmeuse fabric. Hand-dyed in small batches using natural plant and insect dye extracts. Mounted on 100% cotton canvas backing. One-of-a-kind and handmade.  MARIGOLD dye extract is derived from the popular deep yellow flower native to Central America. This dye is mixed with kamala and tesu blossom extracts to create a rich and vibrant golden yellow color. MADDER dye extract is derived from the roots of the Rubia Tinctorum plant found in Central Asia and the Middle East. One of the oldest known dyes, Madder-dyed textiles have been found on Egyptian mummies, and on Libyan cloaks dating back to 5th century BCE.
