Collect your set of 4 Oreo Coasters in 1/4" sanded Cherry or Basswood. Why Oreo? We were intrigued with the geometry and symbolism embedded within its sweet dark cookie. Look deeper. Around the “OREO” centerpiece we find a strange symbol; an oval with a double-bar cross coming out of the top. This is an old alchemical symbol for ‘amalgam’, which is an interesting way to reference the black cookie/white icing mixture that is the crispy/creamy goodness of our beloved snack.
