First artisans wash and soak shells. After the shells have dried, they are cut into shapes and edged with brass. A finishing coat of varnish completes this labor-intensive process.  We enjoy finding and providing to our customers, fair-traded goods like these made by talented artisans worldwide.  This allows the artisans to be paid fairly for their talents and efforts.
