Combining strings should only be done with strings of even numbers of modules and the MPPT settings of the inverter should be adjusted. The DC connector kit can accommodate wires from 10 - 2 AWG and the copper “comb style” bus bar is encased in plastic to reduce safety concerns in the connection area.
