Hatching Eggs: Lavender Wyandotte, Backyard Bunch Location

These Lavender Wyandottes are beautiful and are a favorite amongst backyard flock owners for their dependable egg-laying, outgoing personalities, and cold hardiness.  Lavender Wyandottes are among the ultra-rare varieties Martha Stewart had us deliver to her in 2016, to introduce to her own flock.  Wyandottes have a heavy body, which makes them a great dual-purpose choice, and small rose comb, which makes them perfect for cold climates because they are not prone to frostbite. The hens are hardy, energetic, and faithful layers. This flock is taking a well-deserved summer break. Be sure to check back in the fall of 2023 when our ladies are expected to be back at work.
