50 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom green flesh honeydew melon seeds (Cucumis melo) per packet. Hard and think rind with a sweet flesh. Grows to an average of 7 inch diameter. Seeds are condensed to the center. Honeydews were introduced to America from Frances in 1900. Grows in zones 3-12. Direct sow when daytime soil temp reaches 70F. Sow 2-3 seeds 0.5 in deep in mounds, 6-10 ft apart. Needs full sun and loose soil. Or start indoors 0.5 in deep 3-4 weeks before last frost. Heat soil to 75F. Harden to cold and transplant outdoors 1-2 weeks after last frost. Place strongest 2-3 seedlings in small mounds, 6-10 ft apart. Matures in 110 days. Needs consistent water.
