Doubled Matured and finished in Port Cask, Cragganmore's 40% ABV whisky has long been revered by blenders due to its quality spirit. Founded in 1869 by John Smith, the distillery sits close to the River Spey and draws its water from the mineral-rich Craggan Burn. 1.52 million litres of whisky are produced annually, with the majority used for blending. The name Cragganmore derives from Scottish Gaelic 'creagan mór' meaning 'big rock'. Renovated in 1901 by local architect Charles Doig, the distillery has 4 stills – each with a unique flat-top shape – which are said to contribute to its character. Now owned by Diageo, Cragganmore features in their Classic Malts range.
