SKU Code: GG-W-113/OM In October 1962, the U.S. Government established the GG-W-113 specification for infantry watches, known as MIL-W-3818B, which replaced MIL-W-3818A from March 1956. Historical Recreation In January 2009, MWC was approached by a U.S. veterans association to explore the viability of recreating a watch indistinguishable in appearance from the original models made by Hamilton, Bulova, and Benrus during the Vietnam War. We were provided with samples and original specifications. The result is a watch very close to the original, featuring a high-grade fully jeweled automatic movement with a hacking function. This movement, similar to the original 1960s hand-wound versions, includes a rotor to eliminate the need for manual winding, though it retains the capability for manual winding if desired. The transition from a 17-jewel hand-wound movement to a superior 24-jewel automatic in 2015 was prompted by customer feedback. Many younger buyers were unfamiliar with hand-winding
