Boxed In is the debut lp from Oakland CA comprised of a whos who of punk members. PLANET ON A CHAIN or P.O.A.C. are hardcore lifers. People who never stopped feeling the angst and rage associated with hardcore, who never stopped trying to push themselves musically, who never stopped paying attention to the current sounds and styles, who don't make music based on past glory, who still contribute to today's hardcore culture without asserting that things were better in their day.The four members of P.O.A.C. are familiar faces. Vocalist Dave Ackerman fronting early '00s TEAR IT UP, a sparkplug of a band from New Jersey whose shows were always one click away from devolving into complete anarchy, and the other three from Oakland, CA's LOOK BACK AND LAUGH, arguably the best live band of their generation, a whirlwind of screaming guitars, drum rolls, long hair, and dreadlocks, all on one stage.
