Sonifex RB-DHD6 Digital 6 Way Stereo Headphone Distribution Amplifier AES/EBU or S/PDIF digital input signals are received by the 1U rack-mount RB-DHD6 digital 6-way headphone distribution amplifier, which then converts them into six independently buffered, jack-plug headphone outputs, each with its volume control. The RB-DHD6 connects directly to an AES/EBU or S/PDIF output to deliver the best possible audio quality to the headphones. It is useful for connecting to digital mixing desks, digital routers, and matrices. One balanced XLR-3 for the AES/EBU input and one unbalanced phono connection for the S/PDIF input make up the input connectors. The rear panel features a button that allows you to choose between the AES/EBU or S/PDIF input, and a dipswitch controls the output's de-emphasis. When de-emphasis is enabled, specific channel status bits in the incoming digital audio data will cause the RB-DHD6 to decode 50/15µs emphasis. When the unit is not in sync with the incoming digital signal, the power LED on the front panel flashes red and amber.
