Description CM82-EZS-II-BK Speaker in Black / CM82-EZS-II-WH Speaker in White, SoundTube 8" 2-way In Ceiling with Short Can The CM82-EZS-II is the next generation version of the CM82-EZs that comes along with improved and additional features. It is professionally engineered for applications along with limited plenum space incorporating a SoundTube-specific shallow backcan that comes with a n installed depth of 3.5 inches. It is equipped with one 8 inch (203 mm) polypropylene woofer along with butyl rubber surround and one 1.0 inch (25.4 mm) silk dome tweeter. Easy-access six-position tap switch is intended for 25/70.7/100-volt and 16 ohm transformer bypass settings which is allowing for easy stocking, ordering and installation. It is crafted with reduced amplification costs and maximum efficiency of 88.0 dB sensitivity, 16 ohm impedance and a sealed enclosure. Superior voice intelligibility that comes with an average coverage angle of 105 (210 kHz, independently verified). Cost-effective 16 ohm settings is allowing for the use of multiples of two, four, or six speakers in a system with the use of a standard amplifier without a transformer. It is incorporating a painted steel grille along with rust inhibitor for lasting durability. Ceramic input terminal is accepting up to 10 gauge plenum rated signal wire and comes including thermal fuse. Suitable for use in voice alarm applications subject to EU regulations EN60849 and BS5839-8. Adaptable to ceiling thicknesses ranging from 0.04 inch (0.9 mm) to 1.60 inch (40.6 mm).
