RIAA 3x Multi-Platinum Album Award for U2 album The Joshua Tree. The album was released on March 9, 1987 and was certified 3x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA on Sept. 30, 1987 for three million copies sold, which this award celebrates. This hugely successful U2 album included the hits "With or Without You", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", which became the group's only Billboard Hot 100 #1 singles in the U.S., and "Where the Streets Have No Name", which hit #13 on the chart. The album won two Grammy awards in 1988 including Album of the Year and went to #1 in the UK, U.S. and numerous other countries.
