Foreigner debut RIAA Gold Album Award

RIAA Gold Album award for the debut album from Foreigner. Released March 8, 1977, the album was certified Gold by the RIAA on May 16, 1977 for 500,000 copies sold.  The success of the group's debut was fueled by hits "Feels Like the First Time", "Cold as Ice" and "Long, Long Way from Home". The tracks were huge hits on rock radio and the album reached #4 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, and #9 in Australia and Canada. It also sold well in Japan and the Netherlands.
