Smalti washes nearly any canvas with glimmering, shimmering color. Artists use the tiles to create a paint-like effect, blending subtle and vibrant hues to convey shadows and highlights. The uneven texture of the glass adds a third dimension of luminosity by reflecting and refracting light granting artists astounding flexibility for their creations. The tiles, which measure 3/4 in L x 5/16 in W x 5/16 in H (18 mm x 8 mm x 8 mm), are waterproof, fade proof and can be used in interior and exterior installations.
