Love, Loyalty, Friendship Claddagh rings have been produced for hundreds of years near the city of Galway in Ireland.  The design features two hands clasping a heart, which is wearing a crown.  The heart symbolizes love, the hands mean friendship, and the crown represents loyalty.  Often how the rings are worn, facing either towards the wearer (or away) and on which hand, is meant to represent the relationship status of the individual.
