In this hands-on class, participants will learn the basics of hand-building pottery techniques to sculpt a charming, festive snowman. Perfect for beginners and seasoned artists alike, this class will guide you step-by-step through the process of shaping and assembling clay components, adding personal details, and creating a one-of-a-kind decoration for the winter season. You will start by forming the body from simple clay spheres, then move on to designing the snowman's face, hat, scarf, and any additional accessories like buttons or a broom. We’ll also cover important tips on texture, balance, and how to make your snowman come to life with unique character and flair. Once your sculpture is complete, it will be kiln-fired and ready for glazing during a follow-up session. Join us for a fun and festive creative experience that will leave you with a pottery piece to treasure for years! What You’ll Learn: Basic pottery hand-building techniques (coiling, pinching, and shaping) How to create and attach different components Personalizing your snowman with accessories and textures The glazing and firing process for pottery Materials Provided: Clay Pottery tools Glazing supplies (in follow-up session) Firing services Who Should Attend: This class is open to all skill levels. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or have some experience with clay, you’ll enjoy bringing your snowman to life! This is a great workshop for both kids and adults. This is NOT a BYOB workshop.   Class Duration: 2 hours, with an additional glazing session after firing  What to Bring: Just your creativity and enthusiasm!  Create memories and a keepsake that captures the magic of winter in clay form! THIS DATE IS WHEN YOU WILL MAKE YOUR SNOWMAN ; You will chose your GLAZE DAY while you are at your workshop. You will not take your snowman home with you; it needs to be fired after the workshop and you will return to glaze it.
