Offering a low-cost alternative to stainless steel designs, it is widely used for chemical handling and storage.  This equipment is not suitable for use with corrosive organic reagents. The minimum achievable water and oxygen levels are 300–400 ppm, which makes it unsuitable for high-end applications such as handling battery powders.
