Acer palmatum dissectum 'Ruby Lace' 'Ruby Lace' Finely Cut Dwarf Weeping Japanese Maple Zones 5-9 Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Ruby Lace' is an extremely finely cut laceleaf that is slow growing and holds its color quite well the shade. The deeply cut foliage is thin and thread-like, unlike most weeping red laceleaf Japanese maples. 'Ruby Lace' is a slow growing Japanese maple, reaching 3-4 ft in height and width in 15 years. Give 'Ruby Lace' protection from the hot afternoon sun, so the foliage doesn't burn. 'Ruby Lace'makes an excellent container plant, just make sure to give this Japanese maple plenty of drainage. 'Ruby Lace' is fairly similar to 'Red Filigree Lace', and is said to have been introduced shortly after. While I have been told that 'Ruby Lace' did occur as a separate seedling, the two appear to be fairly similar. Apparently similar finely cut seedlings can be found by looking through seedlings from the upright 'Burgundy Lace'. Limited Quantities Available !! As we have
