Taxodium distichum Mickelson 'Shawnee Brave™’  Bald Cypress Zones 4-9 Taxodium distichum Mickelson 'Shawnee Brave™' is a cultivar of the Bald Cypress, known for its slender, columnar form and exceptional tolerance to a wide range of growing conditions. This deciduous conifer is celebrated for its fine, feathery foliage that emerges soft green in spring, turning a rich bronze in the fall before shedding for winter.  In 10 years, this cultivar can reach a height of about 15-20 ft and maintains a narrow shape, close to 6-8 ft. It thrives in full sun and adapts well to various soil types, including wet, poorly drained soils, and even standing water, making it a versatile choice for challenging sites.  These 10 gallon trees are for local pickup only, we cannot ship them because they are too big.
