I first started working with Barbie in 1985 in Mattel's Samples Department. In 1988 I began writing toy fair scripts, videos, marketing skits, custom songs and other creative for Barbie at Mattel. My first email address was mrbarbie@aol.com and you can still reach me there. This Jamaican Barbie Special Edition is part of the Dolls of the World Collection. She wears a native costume of Jamaica. Her cool cotton dress is topped with an apron, and there's a colorful handkerchief draped around her shoulder. Another handkerchief, called a turban. binds her hair so you can see her pretty hoop earrings. This toy is part of my personal collection and has been archived by me, Joe Galliani, the creator of the Street Sharks, and President of Mr. Joe's Really Big Productions for over two decades in my home's attic.
