All kits come complete with hardened parallel-ground washers and high-quality nuts. The studs are manufactured from 8740 chrome moly steel, heat-treated in-house to 190,000 psi tensile strength, and precision J-form threads rolled after heat treatment to create a fastener that has threads 2000% stronger than others. This is a must for racing and high-performance engines. Made in the USA ARP Premium 8740 steel 12 Point Nuts Hardened Washers Application: Ford Kent blocks with later square caps (691M, 711M, 701M, 821M, and 771M) or early blocks with square steel main cap conversion. PRELOAD (TORQUE) RECOMMENDATIONS: Following the manufacturer's recommended torque sequence tighten the nuts in three equal steps to 80 lb-ft with ARP ULTRA-TORQUE FASTENER ASSEMBLY LUBRICANT.
