Windy Ridge

Windy Ridge Trail system is coming to Mount Airy! Located behind the American Legion on Prospect Road, the park has 88 acres and lots of elevation. There is currently about 2+ miles of legacy trail. Design work is in process and ground breaking for a new, improved and sustainable trail network should begin in early 2022. Rolling hills and some deeper stream valleys should eventually result in 5+ miles of serious fun. The main entrance is off of Prospect Road through East West Park at the end of the gravel lot. Please do not park in the neighborhoods on the south side of the park. This is a great time to support our effort with funds and volunteer hours! Thank you for your support!
