In September 2023, Wheaton Regional Park opened 2.8 miles of natural surface trail to bikes. These trails are a welcome addition for local riding and are well suited for newer riders and kids. The park is also adjacent to the Northwest Branch Trail with over 19 miles of trail.MORE and Montgomery County Parks are working together to design and build additional bike-specific gravity trails that will include technical trail features like large berms, drops, and jumps.
