Small, faux tortoise-shell trinket box, hand-painted in the Philippines for Maitland Smith, c.1980s. This petite piece was hand painted a tortoise-shell 'trompe l'oeil' pattern with dynamic color and movement, a cream trim, and high-gloss lacquered finish.
