Huge! Beautiful Conch Ammonite Fossil

This old Fossil is amazingly stunning! This conch dates back 69 million years! The storieds it could tell 😌 Before we understood what ammonites were, one of the explanations for ammonites was that they were coiled-up snakes that had been turned to stone, earning them the nickname snakestones.   Ammonites weren't reptiles though; they were ocean-dwelling molluscs, specifically cephalopods. Thid piece is one-of-a-kind, of course.
