The head, wingcase and legs are all well defined, while the underside is delicately inscribed with twelve rows of hieroglyphs. The glyphs detail the Heart formula from Chapter XXXB of the Book of the Dead, a prayer appealing to the heart not to bear witness against the deceased, and can be read as follows: "[Nes-Ptah son of...(?)-] Mose, he says: My heart of my mother, my heart of my mother, my heart of my forms/transformations, stand not against me as a witness, be not opposed to me in the Tribunal, make not your opposition/enmity against me in the presence of the Keeper of the Balance!
