Bad News / Good News

BAD NEWS“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).As we itemize these sins made by people who will not inherit the kingdom of God, we find that all of us have committed some or all of these transgressions against God. The Bible says “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Oh how helpless it seems. That is indeed Bad News. What a terrible price to pay—to miss heaven. It is as if you are standing before a judge as he passes the death sentence on the deeds you have done. You can throw yourself on the mercy of that judge, but your sentence will not be changed. It will be Death, no matter how sorry you are for your crime or sins.GOOD NEWSNow, how about some Good News? There’s a Jud
