The top mattress provides an even and supportive sleeping surface on all Innovation Living adjustable sofa beds.  Cover is machine-washable at hot/140F. Comes with a bag for storage minimizing the volume when not in use. It is advised to open the package in a well-ventilated room, and to leave the top mattress on a flat surface in 48 hours to inflate to full size.
