Building off the first volume of Chromatic, these compositions use soulful chord progressions and licks, and chromatic movements to create the feel of the 60s soul era. Recorded with live instruments including electric guitar (les paul, strat) bass (p-bass), rhodes, mellotron, vocals and analog effects [space echo, MOOG bbd delay, Flint tremelo & reverbs], outboard gear (1176 & LA-2A compressors, 610-preamp) and mastered to 1/4" tape in order to obtain the fidelity of vinyl, with deep textures, smooth timbre, and warm sound.
