The bold Lantern 2 Pendant Ceiling Light by Gabriel Hendifar takes the  humble lantern into new territory while maintaining what is historically and culturally a deeply familiar and comforting source of illumination.   The fixtures' 2 large shades are handmade from slip-cast porcelain. Finely incised fluting creates a delicacy that allows light to softly pass through achieving a warm diffused light. A strong blackened brass structure supports and contrasts the voluminous shades with a series of much smaller penetrating spheres. An almost ceremonial overtone produces a quiet, peaceful effect.
