From the Berlin Wall Series Abstract Painting by Allison Caesar Allison Caesar’s work is about materials and process drawing inspiration from architecture, industrial landscapes, and geometry. Using discarded materials from her public school classroom or tools from a hardware store, the premise is always collage. The outcome is chemistry. The work is highly intuitive and experimental. Born in San Francisco, raised in Philadelphia, Caesar received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, Massachusetts in 1987.
