
Maserati MC12 Stradale - 1:64 Scale Diecast Model Car by BBR
1:64 Scale (approximately 2.5 inches in length) Diecast metal body, features no opening parts After a 37-year absence from motorsport, Maserati returned to the world's racing circuits in 2004 with the MC12, their Ferrari Enzo-based entrant into the cutthroat FIA GT series. Longer, lower and wider than the Enzo, the MC12 would prove to be an effective racing weapon almost immediately, winning the FIA GT Manufacturers Cup in 2005. To compete, however, Maserati had to build 25 roadgoing MC12s for FIA homologation, leading to the birth of the MC12 Stradale. This incredibly exotic road car featured the Enzo's V12 engine mated to Maserati's "Cambiocorsa" six-speed automated manual transmission, mounted in a carbonfiber monocoque that generated massive amounts of downforce. Though challenging to maneuver at low speeds, the MC12 Stradale is nonetheless prized by collectors today.
