1:43 Scale (approximately four inches in length) Resin body, features no opening parts Comes with acrylic dust cover and display base The story of Ford's eventual dominance at Le Mans throughout the late 1960s is well known, but to achieve such success they first had to endure several years of teething pains. Such was the case at the 1965 running of the 24 hour event, when all but one of eleven Ford-powered cars would fail to finish the race. These on-track failures would prove to be important lessons for Ford and Shelby American, and as such, scale replicas of these fast-but-fragile prototypes are important pieces for collectors of Ford racing history seeking to build complete collections of GT40 models. Hence, Model Citizen is pleased to offer two GT40 Mark Is from the ill-fated Ford campaign at the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans.
