
Baruj Salinas - Loop III
This is an excellent example of original Salinas works on canvas. The work is both stunning and profound. This work is watercolor, gouache, pastel, charcoal and graphite on canvas. This painting is 41" x 50" and was done in 1981, a particularly rich period for this Cuban Master, as it reflects the great influences the Abstract Expressionists had on his work. Baruj Salinas is the most significant, and well established contemporary artist this gallery represents. He has work in the permanent collections of over 35 museums, and has had over 150 solo shows worldwide, and a number of museum shows. This Cuban Master lived in Barcelona in the 1970's, and studied with Joan Miro, Antoni Tapies. Salinas is now in his 80's. Baruj Salinas is a Cuban Postwar & Contemporary painter who was born in 1935. Salinas found early success as a painter and engraver.
