Circles with Circles; Monochrome Edition - Original

"Never be limited by other people's limted imaginations." ~ Dr. Mae JemisonThis was my first attempt at a full-sized circle piece.These pieces are typically in color, and have multiple steps: Draw the outer circles Draw the multiple inner circles Fill in the blank spaces with black Color each circle and sub-circle Apply shadowing After drawing all the outer and inner circles for this piece, I started to fill in the blank spaces with black. And I was so taken by how that was expressing itself in the art… I just went with it.
