1.0 Western Banded Gecko (Coleonyx variegatus)
This field-collected male western banded gecko has been with me since early December of 2022 and is a very well-established long-term captive. He is feeding well on small crickets, roaches, and mealworms. He will make a great addition in the hands of the right hobbyist or in any breeding project. Coleonyx are one of my favorite genus of geckos to work with. They are extremely underrated in the hobby despite being personable, sporting a wide variety of colors and patterns, and being relatively easy to care for. Most banded geckos are skittish and delicate and care should be taken when working with them. They are best suited to intermediate hobbyists, especially as wild-caught individuals, and should NOT be treated as a smaller substitute for leopard geckos or African fat-tailed geckos. *Pictures in this listing represent the EXACT animal you will receive*
