Our 240 grain, Hard Cast (BHN 15) SWC penetrates deeply, 17"-19" into 10% ballistic gelatin,  through 4 layers of denim. 22"-25" of penetration into bare ballistic gelatin. It is also a very accurate round. The 240 grain SWC is moving out at around 975 fps. from an 8" barrel. Not all barrels are created equal, chronographs don't always agree with each other and atmospheric conditions can affect velocities.
