Happy New Year - Korean Traditions - Greeting CardNew Year is a big holiday in Korean culture! I wanted to share some of my favorite traditions through this card:  - Bokjumoni (money pouch heehee): Children will bow to their elders as a sign of respect and to wish them a happy new year. In return, they receive some $$$, a way of elders also wishing them a happy new year and to express support and love.  - Yutnori: This is a game that we play together as a family! It's a traditional Korean game involving four sticks that have different point values.  - Sikhae (Rice Punch): A sweet, rice drink with pine nuts and rice grains in it - SO GOOD.  - Rice Cake Soup: In the mornings, families will gather and eat rice cake soup together - Oranges: A sign/symbol of good luck and prosperity for the new year!  - Yakhwa (Korean honey sugar cookie): The best dessert post-rice cake soup!
