Apex 460 Mic Mod Service

About the Mod Our comprehensive upgrade for the Apex 460 (and all other branded versions of the Alctron T11A) replaces the mic's entire signal path: capsule, circuit, tube, and transformer. We also modify the power supply to correct its B+ voltage. We install our Fox 460 circuit, including a selected low-noise 6072 tube and custom-wound transformer. The new circuit reduces the mic's noise and distortion dramatically, due both to our premium components and to design improvements in the circuit topology. The new circuit has higher sensitivity than the stock design, which improves the mic's signal to noise ratio.
