Large Patterned platter with 24k Gold

Large Patterned Bowl with 24k Gold 20.5 inch diameter Funny how what you set out for and what you end up with can be so different.  When I was first designing this pattern, I was looking for a wood grain.  I took sawed branches of different sizes and stamped it in the clay, but unfortunately, when you saw wood, there is no texture! I ended up with a bowl with flat disks. I then made 4 different stamps of different sizes in clay, where I carved linear textures.   It no longer reads as wood, but I like it none the less!
