About the Author Dick B. is a writer, historian, Bible student, Retired attorney, and Recovered A.A. as well as an active member of the A.A. fellowship who has sponsored more than 100 men in recovery. He has devoted 16 years to researching the roots of A.A., its history, and its successes. His work has taken him across the United States with interviews, visits to libraries and archives, collection of historical books and materials, and communication with historical figures.
