Yiwu Mountain is one of the six legendary ancient Pu-erh tea mountains, renowned since the Qing dynasty. Located in the southwest of Mengna County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yiwu's tea was historically known as Shan Cha or "Mountain Tea," distinguishing it from tea from Menghai County, which was referred to as Ba Cha, or "Highland Tea." Among these six mountains, Yiwu is revered as the "core" mountain, often called Yiwu Zhen Shan, meaning the origin of the finest tea. This particular tea comes from the prestigious Zhongji Hao Pu-erh Tea Company, known for producing exceptional teas from Yiwu. Although released in 2015, it is a blend of Mao Cha (loose tea leaves) from 2012 to 2014.
