The flat-handled Deaver Retractor is used for the mobilization of deep organs and viscera, as in stomach or urinary bladder surgeries. The retractor is 18 cm long, and has a shape that resembles a question mark. The handle is flat and has a hook-like projection which can grant assistance to the grip. The blade has a wide curve and a uniform diameter, and ends with a rounded atraumatic tip. The featured retractor has a blade width of 19 mm.
