Songs of Hope (Psalms 42-72)
DescriptionBook Two of the Psalms finds God’s people longing to return to a past where God seemed closer, where they were able to serve him freely, and where God’s king reigned. These psalms lead us from dark places to the triumphal return of God’s king.Songs of Hope consists of 9 studies by experienced pastor and teacher David Jackson, covering all of Book Two of the Psalms (Psalms 42–72)—a book that reflects on God’s faithfulness in the past as the grounds for present hope. It challenges all nations to submit to the one and only God.This is the second of a five-part series on the Psalms. Unlike most other studies on Psalms, the series reads each psalm not as an isolated unit, but in the context of the whole book. As we see the full sweep of the psalms, we will see the hope the psalmists have in the coming Messiah.
