Fire Retardant Latex Paint Additive Flame Stop iii - Pint

Flame Stop 3 is the premier fire-retardant additive for latex paint. When mixed with latex paint, this product provides a Class A fire rating when painted on drywall. However, when this mixture is applied to wood, it provides a Class B fire rating. The mixture ratio is a single pint of 16 ounces of Flame Stop iii to a gallon of latex paint. By mixing the fire retardant in with the paint color, the consistency can become too thick, and 1-2 pints of water may need to be included to get the proper paint viscosity.   Flame Stop iii is an orderless and colorless one-coat flame retardant.
