Dartek- Cast Nylon Film

Dartek® (Nylon 6/6) is used to wrap fine art, act as a transparent dust cover and can provide a covering membrane for lining paintings on a vacuum hot table. Dartek provides outstanding gas and oil barrier protection, excellent clarity, abrasion resistance, and tensile strength. This version (C-917) includes a heat stabilizing ingredient and allows prolonged high temperature application. Dartek has no surface coatings or plasticizers and is softer and conforms more easily than Mylar. It absorbs up to 10% of its weight in moisture. It adheres well with hot melt tape and to itself with a heated spatula. Thickness: .00075" (3/4mil)
